The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has approved
the Kannamwar Nagar and Tagore Nagar redevelopment proposal. The colonies are
located at Vikhroli in Mumbai.
After redevelopment, MHADA will get 31,370 tenements, which it can sell
through lottery. The Authority will get 8,420 additional tenements of 30 sq mtrs
each in Kannamwar Nagar and 22,950 of 40 sq mtrs each in Tagore Nagar.
The decision means the 16,000 owners of existing tenements in the two
