Maharashtra government has announced that the Centre has approved a big electronics manufacturing cluster at Ranjangaon in Pune under National Policy on Electronics.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 32 months. This will create robust electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
The project will target units of industrial electronics, consumer electronics, solar photovoltaics (PV) manufacturing, e-mobility products/components, etc.
The electronics manufacturing cluster will be spread over 297.11 acre of land parcel. The project will see an investment of Rs 492.85 crore. The Centre's contribution will be Rs 207.98 crore.
The EMC is targeted to attract Rs 2000 crore investment and to generate 5000 employment opportunities.
