Malabar Gold & Diamonds has inaugurated a fully integrated jewellery manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, as part of its "Make in India, Market to the World" vision.
Located at General Park, Maheshwaram in Ranga Reddy district, the 3.45 lakh sq. ft. unit is the company’s largest among its 14 facilities across India and the GCC. It consolidates design, refining, manufacturing, quality control, hallmarking, warehousing, and supply chain management under one roof. The facility is equipped to produce 4.7 tonne of gold jewellery and 1.8 lakh carats of diamond jewellery annually, along with a gold refining capacity of 78 tonne. The workforce comprises over 2,750 skilled artisans from 18 states, with 40 percent of them hired locally.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the unit, joined by Malabar Group Chairman MP Ahammed, Vice-Chairman Abdul Salam KP, MD–India Operations Asher O, and Executive Director Nishad AK. The new facility is expected to significantly support the company’s retail growth both domestically and internationally. With this expansion, Malabar Gold & Diamonds now has a total annual production capacity of over 40.68 tonne of gold, and 3.61 lakh carats of diamond jewellery.
