Max Healthcare Institute plans to nearly double its capacity to 9,500 beds by 2028 through brownfield and greenfield projects, up from 5,000 beds in FY25 and soon to reach 6,000 within 60 days.
The company's Q1/FY26 revenue rose 27 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,574 crore, driven by a 26 percent increase in occupied bed days and 76 percent occupancy. Recent developments include commissioning a 160-bed tower at Max Mohali, leasing a 130-bed facility in Dehradun, and selling two smaller hospitals for Rs 40 crore to focus on super-specialty care in large cities.
Chairman Abhay Soi cited rising demand for quality healthcare, an ageing population, and strategic capacity additions as key growth drivers.
