Max Healthcare Institute (MHIL) has announced its entry into Pune with the development of a 450-bed super speciality hospital, involving an investment of over Rs 1,000 crore.
Located in Yerawada, a prime area of Pune, the hospital is set to be commissioned in the next three years. This will be Max Healthcare’s fourth facility in Western India, strengthening its presence in Maharashtra. The project involves the acquisition of a 100 percent equity stake in Yerawada Properties (YPPL) and further development over the next few years.
Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare, emphasised that Pune, with its rapidly growing economy and expanding middle-class population, requires a high-end super speciality hospital equipped with advanced technology. He stated, “Our entry into Pune is a strategic milestone for Max Healthcare and aligns with our long-term vision of expanding our presence in key healthcare markets.”
