A multi-specialty hospital with 800 beds is set to open at Burari in north Delhi by the end of July 2019.

The hospital was originally proposed as a 200-bed facility which was later increased in 2015 to benefit people from north and northwest Delhi and Noida. The proposal for enhanced hospital project was tabled in the Delhi Budget 2015-16.

The construction work of the seven-floor hospital has been 90 percent complete and the hiring of specialist doctors and paramedical staff has begun.

The hospital has been constructed at a cost Rs 150 crore over an area of 16,390 sq mtr.  Of this, 390 sq mtr has been utilised to site a rainwater harvesting system and for green beautification.

The upcoming hospital will have specialty departments in neurology, gynaecology, paediatrics and cardiology and also provide outpatient medical care for gynaecology, paediatrics and orthopaedics.

The Public Works Department which is all set to open the new hospital will be able to initially cater to around 1,000 patients daily. Additional space will be created in the OPD in the next few months and around 3,000 patients can get medical attention daily.

The hospital complex will have a three-level parking system within the premises to accommodate 1,000 cars. There will be a separate raised parking system in front of the hospital for ambulances and doctors.

Apart from this, the fourth super specialty medical centre is coming up in Dwarka.
