The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a tender for the four-laning of the Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi-Sonbarsa section of NH-22.
This key stretch covering a total length of 82.551 km (from design chainage km 0.000 to design chainage km 82.551), will be executed in Bihar under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM). The estimated cost stands at Rs 2,441.07 crore, towards enhancing the road infrastructure, improving connectivity and boosting economic growth in the region. This project is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to upgrade road networks under the NHDP to cater to increasing traffic demands and enhance road safety.
Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the closing date of 25 February 2026.
