The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued tenders for the construction of a six-lane, access-controlled Eastern Bypass in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in two packages.
Package-I, valued at Rs 2,146.23 crore will start from design km 64.000 near Pirkaradiya village and end at design km 113.000 on NH 347BG near Simrol/Datoda village. The total length of the bypass is part of a larger road development initiative aimed at improving traffic flow between Indore and Dewas. Under Package 2, it will stretch from design km 113.000 on NH 347BG, near Simrol/Datoda village, to design km 139.630 near Nanded village. The work includes all necessary civil engineering activities for constructing the road, including earthwork, pavement, drainage, and the installation of road safety features, and has an estimated cost of Rs 1,280 crore. The contract is expected to be completed within 24 months, with a five-year maintenance period post-construction.
The bid submission deadline for both contracts is 23 February, 2026.
