NHPC has invited bids for the selection of developers to set up solar power plants totalling 1,200 MW at the Jalaun Solar Power Park in Uttar Pradesh.

The project will be developed as four units of 300 MW each through tariff-based competitive bidding. The scheduled commencement of supply date (SCSD) for the solar plants is set at 18 months from the effective date of the power purchase agreements (PPAs).

The scope includes the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar facilities, as well as operations in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Once commissioned, the park is expected to supply green power to the grid, contribute to energy security, and create economic opportunities in the Jalaun district through local employment and infrastructure development. 

The closing date for bid submisison is 08 September, 2025.
