NLC India (NLCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, has successfully commissioned the full 300 MW capacity of its Barsingsar Solar Power Project in Bikaner district, Rajasthan.
Developed under the CPSU Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the project marks a significant milestone for NLCIL. The first phase, with 52.83 MW, was commissioned in August 2025, and the second phase added 106 MW in November 2025. With the completion of the remaining capacity, the project becomes one of NLCIL’s largest solar power initiatives.
With the full 300 MW now operational, NLCIL's total renewable energy capacity has risen to 1,766 MW, strengthening its overall power generation capacity to 7,726 MW. The project utilises domestically manufactured high-efficiency solar PV modules, promoting Atmanirbhar Bharat and contributing to India’s sustainable growth and energy security. Speaking on the occasion, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director said, “The successful commissioning of the entire 300 MW Barsingsar Solar Power Project is a significant milestone in NLC’s renewable energy journey."
