NTPC’s renewable division division has successfully commissioned 300 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan, marking a significant achievement in the company’s clean energy journey.
The new capacity is part of the 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan, and has been brought into operation by NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of the state-owned power giant. The commissioning certificate for the 300 MW block was issued on 14 January, 2026, with commercial operations beginning on 13 January, 2026. Following this addition, NTPC Green Energy’s commercial capacity has reached 8,010.28 MW, while its total installed capacity now stands at 8,310.28 MW.
The NTPC Group’s consolidated commercial capacity has grown to 86,207 MW, and the total installed capacity is now 87,287 MW. This milestone reinforces NTPC's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supporting India’s transition to a cleaner, sustainable energy future.
