1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Nagpur plans water treatment plant

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is setting up a water treatment plant at Godhani in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
 
The proposed facility coming up on five acre is likely to treat 115 MLD of water. The Rs 220-crore project has been sanctioned under the JNNURM. Of the sanctioned amount, 50 per cent is part of the JNNURM, while state government will contribute 20 per cent and 30 per cent by the NMC.
 
A sum of Rs 10 crore will be spent for setting up of the treatment plant, while the rest will be used for other works including laying of pipelines in the 27-km stretch from Mahadula -via-Godhani to Rajbhavan tank. So far, laying of about 16 km of pipeline has been completed. On completion, water from the plant will be stored in Rajbhavan water tank, from where it will be supplied to 24 overhead tanks which are to be set up in east, north, central and west Nagpur.
 
Meanwhile, functioning of 240 MLD new plant at Kanhan will start from August 2011. The construction work of the water supply scheme by Veolia Water India is expected to start soon with completion slated for 2013.
