Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister, on 3 May 2012, inaugurated Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospitals’ (NHH) Ahmedabad facility.
The newly inaugurated 300-bed health care facility has come up under the Phase I of the Health City project with an investment of Rs 110 crore. The remaining project is expected to be completed in next four years. The facility has all facilities such as advanced cardiology unit, cardiac surgical unit for adults and children along with Orthopedic, Neuro- Sciences, Urology, Nephrology, Critical care and medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Gastro Sciences, Advance diagnostics like 1.5 Tesla MRI and 64 Slice CT scan, Mammography and so on.
NHH is in the process of setting up a 5,000-bed health city with a medical college and nursing and paramedical educational institution in the 37 acre campus situated at Rakhial, Ahmedabad. Also, it plans to set up low cost heart hospitals across the country using prefabricated construction materials. The first such hospital is being built by L&T, in Mysore.
