The administration in Maharashtra’s Palghar district has announced several major projects to improve healthcare services for its tribal population.
A new district civil hospital, which has been under development since the district’s formation, is expected to be fully operational within a year. The hospital will offer comprehensive multi-speciality care, according to Palghar Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramdas Marad. Additionally, the Manor Trauma Care Centre, located near the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, is nearing completion and will provide crucial life-saving support. Palghar MP Dr. Hemant Sawra has been working to secure both Central and state funds to ensure timely completion of these projects.
District Health Officer Dr. Santosh Chowdhari emphasised the administration’s efforts to improve health services in a phased manner, specifically catering to the needs of the tribal population.
