Kolkata based Speciality Restaurants Pvt Ltd (SRPL) plans to launch its restaurant brands like Oh! Calcutta, Sigree and Machaan in Orissa by March 2010. SRPL is also exploring the possibility of opening standalone restaurants that will exclusively serve the Oriya delicacies.

SRPL plans to open at least half-a-dozen restaurants in Puri and other small towns with an investment of about Rs 15 crore. The company opened its Mainland China outlet in Bhubaneshwar on 20 July 2009.

The company also plans to invest abut Rs 50 crore for an entertainment and food park near the Infocity in Bhubaneshwar and has already acquired one and half acre from the State government.

Meanwhile, SRPL has decided to pump in around Rs 200-250 crore through both the organic and inorganic routes to expand from 52 to 100 restaurants in the next one year.
