GVK Developmental Projects, a wholly owned subsidiary of GVK Power and
Infrastructure, has bagged an order to develop a 690-MW Ratle hydro electric
power project to be located on the Chenab river in Kishtwar district of Jammu
and Kashmir.
The project will require an investment of around Rs 5,000 crore. It is
scheduled to be commissioned by 2017. GVK has been allotted the project on BOOT
basis for a period of 35 years.
The proposed project is being promoted by the Jammu and Kashmir Government
through the Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation.
