RITES, the logistics and infrastructure unit of the Indian Railways, has
bagged an order worth $74.1 million (approx Rs 336 crore) from the Saudi Arabian
Railway.
The contract is to operate a line that is likely to transport minerals to an
industrial complex in Jubail on the Persian Gulf. The 1,486-km line is expected
to be opened by December 2010. The contract will last until December 2013.
