Alfa Laval has bagged a contract worth SEK 50 million (approx Rs 70 crore)
from a paper mill company in Malaysia for setting up a black liquor evaporation
plant.
The contract includes the black liquor evaporation plant and condensate
stripping system including design, engineering, supply, installation and
commissioning service. The Alfa Laval evaporation system is expected to be used
in a process to concentrate black liquor, a by-product from the pulp and paper
production, for further re-use as fuel in the plant. The plant is to be
delivered in 2011.
