IRCON has bagged an order worth $86.5 million (approx Rs 402.22 crore) from
the Sri Lanka Government to build a railway line and telecommunication system in
Sri Lanka.
The company is to reconstruct the Northern Railway Line and telecommunication
system in Sri Lanka. The northern railway line was destroyed during the
decades-long conflict in Sri Lanka which ended in May 2010.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Government is learnt to have holding discussions
with IRCON to construct the line from Omanthai to Pallai.
