Nine power projects, including one in the
private sector and eight in the State / Central sector, are currently under
examination with the Central Electricity Authority (CEA). This was stated by
the Minister of State for Power, Ms Jayawanti Mehta in Parliament, on 21 November
2001.
The Minister stated
that the projects would be considered for accord of Techno Economic Clearance
(TEC) by the CEA as soon as pending essential inputs and clearances are tied up
by the project authorities concerned.
