The Noida International Airport in Jewar, Greater Noida, is on track to open in April, with over 80 percent of its terminal construction complete.
Key infrastructure milestones include finished flooring, baggage handling systems, and escalators. The airside development, encompassing runways, taxiways, and aprons, is 89 percent complete, while landside progress, including terminals, parking, and public transport links, is 79 percent complete. Financially, 90 percent of the first-phase budget of Rs 10,056 crore has been utilised.
Crucial components like drinking water lines, sewage, and water treatment plants are nearing completion. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has completed the air traffic control tower and is now equipping it for operations.
Additionally, a newly built eight-lane road connects the airport to the Yamuna Expressway, with further links to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway underway.
