Oberoi Hotels and Resorts is set to launch nearly 20 new properties, luxury boats, and cruisers over the next five years, contributing to a total of 1,350 new keys, amidst the rising demand for upscale vacations.

Of these, 288 will be located outside India, starting in 2026. Of the planned additions, nine will be owned by EIH, the listed arm of the Oberoi Group, while 11 will operate under management agreements. The upcoming projects include locations across India in Rajgarh (Khajuraho), Bandhavgarh, Goa, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Jawai, Gandikota, Hebbal, and Pune.

Globally, new properties are slated for Bardia (Libya), Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), Kathmandu, Bhutan, and London, with the London property in Mayfair district, marks Oberoi’s first venture into the UK market. Currently, the company boasts 3,772 keys in India and 497 abroad.

The expansion aligns with Oberoi’s premium positioning, with the company recording a 41 percent increase in consolidated net profit for the September quarter, with occupancies rising to 73 percent. Average room rates climbed by nine percent year-on-year, reaching approx. Rs 15,000. The robust demand is expected to get a boost by the marriage season in India, driving both occupancy rates and revenue. This strategic growth underscores Oberoi’s focus on capturing a larger share of the luxury hospitality market while broadening its international footprint.
