bagged an order worth Rs.688 crore from Rashtriya
Ispat Nigam for construction of new sinter plant No 3 at its plant
in Visakhapatnam. Under the contract the value of the order awarded to McNally
is Rs.555.67 crore.

- Sterlite Optical
Technologies received an order worth Rs.150 crore from
Power Grid Corporation of India for
manufacture and supply of 400kV and 765kV power transmission conductors. Work
on the order is likely to commence by end-February 2007 with completion
scheduled within 22 months.

- Sintex Industries
has entered into an agreement with Gujarat
Urban Development Co (a state government undertaking) for the
construction of 50,000 residential dwellings using monolithic construction
technology. The investment in the project, which will be executed by Sintex,
is around Rs.750 crore.

bagged an order worth Rs.19.50 crore Andhra
Pradesh Central Power Distribution Co for 33/11 kV substations in
Mahaboobnagar district [contract value: Rs.11.84 crore] and for 33/11 kV
substations in Medak district [contract value: Rs.7.65 crore] on turnkey
basis.
- Bangalore-based
Suprajit Engineering has bagged an order worth Rs.40 crore from
Tata Motors for supply of cables to Tata
Motor's small car project at Singur in West Bengal.

Vij Co for supply and erection of 11 kV 180 km line, about 700 km
of LT lines, supply and erection of 361 transformers and providing service
connections to over 69,000 house hold falling under the Jurisdiction of MGVCL
in Vadodara and Anand district of Gujarat under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin
Vidhyutikaran Yojna (RGGVY).

- Mazda
bagged Rs.3.63 crore order from Siemens
for high pressure and low pressure heaters, which are used for power
generation industry. The technology of manufacturing HP & LP Heaters is being
developed by the in-house research and development of the company and with
assistance from Croll Reynolds of USA which has about 12 per cent stake in
Mazda.
- Udhe India
bagged a EPMC contract from
Indian Oil Corporation
for their 3 lakh tpa high density
polyethylene plant, a part of petrochemicals plant at Panipat in
Haryana. The scope of work includes project management, residual process
design/engineering, detailed engineering, procurement and expediting services,
construction, management & supervision and assistance in start-up,
