Alstom Projects (India) has bagged
orders worth Rs.750 crore for three hydel-based power projects. This include:
- 4x60 MW Uri hydel power project
Stage II in Baramula district of Jammu & Kashmir awarded by National
Hydroelectric Power Corporation. (project

- 3x77 MW Chamera III/ Hibra hydel
power project in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh awarded by National
Hydroelectric Power Corporation. (project

- 2x55 MW Chuzachen hydroelectric
project in East Sikkim district has been awarded by Gati infrastructure. (project

The scope of work includes turnkey
execution of electro-mechanical lot comprising of hydroturbines, generators and
auxiliaries. The company will execute works worth about Rs.600 crore at the
hydro unit based in Vadodara and is considered as one of the three large hydro
equipment manufacturing hubs in the group along with China and Brazil.
