Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 11 March, 2024 inaugurated the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway. This is expected to improve traffic flow and ease congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48.
This part stretches from Dwarka (Delhi) to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza (Gurgram, Haryana). Of the 29 km length, 18.9 km falls in Haryana, while the remaining is in Delhi. It will provide direct connectivity to the IGI Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass.
The Haryana section of Dwarka Expressway has been built at a cost of around Rs 4,100 crore, and includes two packages of 10.2-km Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai rail-over-bridge (ROB) and 8.7-km Basai ROB to Kherki Daula.
The Dwarka Expressway has also emerged as a major residential hub in Gurugram and is expected to witness the launch of commercial and retail projects, as well as high-quality residential properties.
Regarding the development of housing clusters, Dwarka Expressway- New Gurgaon cluster has become the new hotspot for premium launches in Delhi NCR. Improvement in connectivity has led to an increase in demand from end-users, especially from Dwarka and other parts of West Delhi.
