Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 7,000 crore in Motihari, Bihar today.
In the rail sector, PM Modi dedicated to the nation the automatic signalling between Samastipur-Bachhwara and the doubling of Darbhanga-Thalwara and Samastipur-Rambhadrapur rail lines, part of the Darbhanga-Samastipur project worth over Rs 580 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for key rail projects, including the Darbhanga-Narkatiaganj doubling project worth Rs 4,080 crore to boost connectivity in North Bihar.
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the 4-laning of Ara bypass (NH-319) and inaugurated the Parariya to Mohania four-lane section of NH-319 worth over Rs 820 crore, improving regional freight and passenger movement. In the technology sector, PM Modi inaugurated Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) facilities in Darbhanga and Patna, stating that these will “boost IT exports, encourage innovation, and support startups in Bihar.
