Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two projects in Gurugram, Haryana -- a medical college in Kherki Majra village and a housing project for police personnel in Bhondsi on 8 September 2019.
The medical college will be built under the PPP model where Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) and Sheetla Mata Shrine board will bear the cost of Rs 70 crore project.
The medical college will be built over 39 acre of land in two phases. In Phase-I, a 150-seat MBBS course and 650-bed hospital will be completed by 2022-23. In Phase-II, a super speciality wing of the hospital will be made operational.
The timeline of Phase-II is yet to be decided. Apart from this, the government will build 576 homes for police personnel in Bhondsi.
