Patel Infrastructure, and Enerica Infra (EnerGrid) have bagged a 375 MW/1,500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Uttar Pradesh under SJVN's auction.
The project will be developed under the build own and operate (BOO) model. Patel Infrastructure secured 187.5 MW/750 MWh at a tariff of Rs 3,59,000 per MW per month, while Enerica secured the remaining 187.5 MW/750 MWh at a tariff of Rs 359,999 per MW per month. The tender was issued in February, 2025 and the results were announced in early July.
The project includes a viability gap funding support of up to Rs 2.7 million/MWh or 30 per of the capital cost, whichever is lower. Both Patel Infrastructure and Enerica are responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project, including design, finance, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance.
