Petronet LNG (PLL) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) have signed a master regasification agreement (MRA) to allow PLL to provide LNG regasification services at its Dahej terminal.
This partnership will help ONGC supply regasified natural gas to meet the needs of downstream consumers. The agreement, signed on 27 January, 2026, during India Energy Week 2026 in Goa, is valid for five years, with an option for extension based on mutual agreement.
ONGC has expressed interest in entering gas marketing by importing LNG and selling RLNG to expand its reach in the growing Indian gas market, supported by pipeline networks and LNG terminals. The MRA aligns with ONGC’s goal of complementing domestic gas production with LNG supplies to meet rising demand.
