Prathima Infrastructure has emergd as the lowest bidder (L1) for a major mining services contract at the Mungoli Nirguda Extension Deep Opencast (OC) Mine, located in the Wani Area of Maharashtra.

The scope of work covers comprehensive overburden (OB) removal, coal extraction, coal handling, and transportation services, alongside heavy earthmoving equipment (HOE) operations. The project, valued at Rs 669.88 crore, is critical to enhancing coal production efficiency and meeting energy demands. It involves large-scale mechanised mining and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of coal from the mine to designated facilities.

The Mungoli Nirguda Extension mine is a key coal source in the region, supporting thermal power generation and industrial consumption. This contract award reinforces Prathima Infrastructure’s strong presence in the mining services sector and its capability to execute high-value, technically challenging projects.

The development is expected to create employment opportunities and strengthen Maharashtra’s coal supply chain reliability.
