Integrated solar cell and module manufacturer Premier Energies has secured a 608-MW DCR (indigenous cell and module) bifacial solar PV modules supply order from NTPC. The contract valued around Rs 1,700 crore is for supplying the PV modules for the power utility’s Nokh solar PV Project in Rajasthan. The supply order is expected to be completed in a span of nine months.

The modules will be manufactured at Premier Energies’ 40-acre facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, which is designed to maximise energy generation and enhance overall project efficiency. With an annual module capacity of four GW (and cell capacity of two GW), the company is focused on developing world-class indigenous solar cells and modules and significantly contribute towards the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Terming its collaboration with NTPC as a significant milestone, the firm constantly aims at product quality, consistent performance and reliability in its commitment towards the development of sustainable energy solutions.
