On 23 September 2013, Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, inaugurated JSS hospital at Mysore district of Karnataka.
The hospital, built at cost Rs 450 crore, has been constructed by JSS Medical Service Trust. The seven storey building, with 1,800 beds facility was constructed in the Indo-Islamic style of architecture and is spread over 12.48 lakh sq ft on 11.50 acre of land. The hospital will be fully operational from November 2013.
The facilities include general and special wards, state-of-the-art critical care beds, round the clock accident and emergency services, 24 major operation theatres, three modular operation theatres, MRI, CT scanner, and a sophisticated blood bank among others.
The hospital is recognised for Central and State sponsored insurance schemes like Yashaswini, Vajpayee Arogyashree, and ESI to name a few.
