Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects, backed by Global Infrastructure Partners India has inaugurated Bihar’s first and only Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Bihta, located approx. 40 km from Patna. This landmark development establishes the state’s first dry port and represents a strategic advancement in Bihar’s industrial and economic landscape.
This development is anticipated to boost Bihar’s manufacturing and trading sectors by simplifying logistics processes and reducing transport bottlenecks. The facility aims to empower Bihar’s exporters and importers by providing direct access to international shipping line containers, customs clearance, warehousing, and both rail and road transportation to gateway ports. The ICD is envisioned as a single-window logistics hub, offering end-to-end supply chain services under one roof.
The ICD is also expected to attract domestic and foreign investment, positioning the state as a significant node in India’s global trade network. Bihta ICD is part of Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects’ wider network of rail-linked terminals, which includes locations such as Kanpur and Bhaupur in Uttar Pradesh, Burkunda near Ranchi in Jharkhand, Ludhiana in Punjab, Siliguri in West Bengal, New Rewari in Haryana, Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, Gangadhara near Surat in Gujarat, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, and ICD Birgunj in Nepal.
ICD Bihta will “create a dynamic and sustainable import-export ecosystem, benefiting Bihar’s manufacturing sector and propelling its global trade aspirations.
