Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilisers is
awaiting approval from the Central Government for a major expansion scheme at
Thal near Mumbai. The project envisages the installation of an additional
ammonia-urea plant, entailing an investment of Rs.1,446 crore, at its Thal complex.
The plant will produce 1,350 tonnes per day of ammonia and 2,200 tonnes per day
of urea.
Further, RCF’s management is evaluating the
techno-economic feasibility report prepared for doubling the capacity of
methylamine at Thal with an investment of Rs.25 crore.
