The under-construction railway overbridge (ROB) near Palla is set to expand from four lanes to six lanes to help improve connectivity between Greater Noida and Dadri in Uttar Pradesh. This expansion will enhance access to key infrastructure, including the upcoming Greater Noida railway terminal, interstate bus terminal, and metro connectivity.
The decision was driven by the Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida (IITGNL), which has agreed to bear the additional cost for the additional lanes. The expanded overbridge will provide smoother travel between Greater Noida Phase-II, Dadri, and the forthcoming multimodal transport hub (MMTH) at Bodaki. The hub will feature a new Greater Noida Railway Terminal, which would replace the existing Bodaki halt.
According to Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) the total cost of the overbridge is approx. Rs 194 crore, with IITGNL and the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) sharing the outlay.
Of this, Rs 75 crore will be contributed by Greater Noida, while the balance will be covered by DFCCIL. The government has accelerated efforts to develop the inter state bus terminal in Bodaki into an integrated passenger handling facility with connectivity to both local bus terminal (LBT) and Noida Metro.
IITGNL is a joint venture of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor and Greater Noida Authority.
