Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs 272 crore contract awarded by Central Railway.
The scope involves design, supply, testing, and commissioning of traction substations, sectioning posts (SPs), and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs) along the Daund–Solapur section. The project will be executed under the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model within a 24-month period. It is a key initiative to support the region’s enhanced freight target of 3,000 tonne and to strengthen railway electrification infrastructure.
This award adds to RVNL’s growing portfolio of national railway infrastructure projects, following several major orders received in October 2025, including a Rs 165.5 crore project from North Eastern Railway.
