Rabindra Enterprises is planning to expand its sponge iron manufacturing capacity from 33,000 tpa to 66,000 tpa at Inanpur in Purulia district of West Bengal.
With this, the company will install an additional DRI kiln with 1x100 tpd as well as induction furnaces of 3x20 tonne.
The expansion will also comprise 1x6/11m CCM to manufacture 198,000 tpa of billets, and install a 500 tpd rolling mill for the production of 165,000 tpa rolled products (TMT).
According to the updates shared with Projects Today, Rabindra Enterprises is awaiting environment clearance (EC) for the project.
Work on the project is expected to commence in Q3/FY24, and the completion is scheduled for March, 2025.
