The Bengaluru Division of the South Western Railway (SWR) will undertake construction of 12 road overbridges (ROBs) and three road underbridges (RUBs) in the financial year 2016-17.
A sum of Rs 181 crore has been sanctioned for ROBs / RUBs in the SWR for the new ones and the ongoing work on over 100 such bridges.
So far, the Ministry of Railways has sanctioned 15 ROBs and RUBs. More will be sanctioned depending on the need in the division.
Of the total, three ROBs will come up in the Bengaluru-Jolarpet division. A few more will also come up on the Hosur line.
