The Rajasthan Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, on 14 July, 2025 approved three key policy initiatives to transform the state into a hub for medical tourism, planned urban growth, and green energy. The decisions include the ‘Heal in Rajasthan’ Policy 2025, the Township Policy 2025, and the Rajasthan City Gas Distribution (CGD) Policy 2025.
Cabinet Minister Sumit Godara introduced the Rajasthan CGD Policy 2025, promoting a gas-based economy. The state also cleared joint ventures with central PSUs, bringing Rs11,200 crore in renewable energy investments.
Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa said, “The Heal in Rajasthan Policy 2025 aims to position Rajasthan as a global medical value travel destination where people can access affordable, high-quality healthcare services.” The policy integrates modern medicine with traditional practices like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, and Siddha, promoting investments through the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) and tourism policies.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel announced the Township Policy 2025, emphasising world-class urban infrastructure. Residential townships must reserve seven percent land for parks and playgrounds, eight percent for public utilities, and 2.5 percent for residents’ welfare. Industrial townships must reserve five percent for workers' housing.
