Rajasthan’s Department of Mines and Geology has outlined a strategic action plan to auction delineated minor mineral plots, aiming to boost investment, employment, and state revenue.
For Financial year 2025-26, monthly area-wise targets have been set, with 12,222 hectares identified for auction across the state. Principal Secretary T Ravikant highlighted the department’s proactive approach, stating that under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who also oversees the mines portfolio, - Rajasthan has created a “new history” in mineral auctions.
This initiative is expected to streamline the allocation process, encourage sustainable resource use, and attract private participation, reinforcing Rajasthan's position as a key player in India’s mining sector.
