Ramco Cements has commissioned an eight MW waste heat recovery system (WHRS) at its cement plant in Ramasamy Raja Nagar, Tamil Nadu.
With this addition, the plant’s total WHRS capacity has risen from two MW to 10 MW. At the consolidated level, Ramco Cements’ waste heat power generation capacity has increased from 45.15 MW to 53.15 MW.
The company highlighted that its sustainability-driven initiatives, such as WHRS expansions, align with efficiency and cost optimisation efforts while supporting India’s push for greener cement production.
