Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has received approval for an integrated beverage manufacturing facility in Orvakal, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.
The facility will produce carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, and packaged drinking water, creating around 1,200 work opportunities. The state government has sanctioned an incentive package worth up to Rs 601.87 crore, marking one of the largest recent investments in the region. The proposal, initially examined by the State Investment Promotion Committee in November and later approved by the State Investment Promotion Board in December, is part of the special Food Processing Policy (4.0) for 2024–29.
The incentives include a 15 percent capital subsidy, 100 percent reimbursement of net SGST for five years (up to Rs 493.95 crore), power cost reimbursement of Rs one per unit, and a matching electricity duty rebate. "The support from the state government will help us accelerate our investment plans and boost local employment," said a company representative.
