Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, will invest over Rs 1,500 crore to establish an integrated food and beverage manufacturing unit in Katol, Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the Maharashtra government ensures facilitation of approvals, clearances, and incentives. The project is expected to begin manufacturing in 2026 and generate direct employment for more than 500 people, as highlighted by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. RCPL, which has grown rapidly since its inception, has already crossed Rs 11,500 crore in revenues within three years and aims to achieve Rs one lakh crore in turnover within five years, supported by global expansion plans.
At Reliance’s recent AGM, Isha Ambani emphasised that RCPL will serve as a major growth engine for the Group, with plans for extending into apparel, electronics, and other consumer categories. The company also plans Rs 40,000 crore investment to develop Asia’s largest integrated food parks powered by AI, automation, and sustainable technologies.
