Riverbank Developers, a real estate company under the United Credit Belani Group, has entered into a partnership with the Intercontinental Hotels Group for developing a luxury hotel and service apartments at Batanagar, near Kolkata in West Bengal. The entire project will be developed with a total capital outlay of over Rs.175 crore.

The 'Crown Plaza Hotel' will have 200 rooms and 50 service apartments. Both the hotel and the service apartments will be housed in a 35 storeyed building with a few floors either on the lower or upper floors reserved for the hotel.

The proposed project will be the country's maiden marina hotel. The USP of this hotel will be that all the rooms will be facing river Hoogly. It will have its own boats and cruises and other river activities as well. The development of a deck on the riverfront is also a part of the project.

The hotel will open doors to guests within 36 months, once civil construction work begins.
