South Central Railway (SCR) is nearing completion of three major third-line projects, enhancing speed and capacity on critical routes.
	
	The 219-km Vijayawada-Kazipet project, costing Rs 1,952 crore, covers Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and is expected to complete within two months. The 205-km Kazipet-Balharshah section, costing RS 2,063 crore, is also progressing well, with 187 km already completed. The 288-km VijayawadaGudur third-line project, costing Rs 3,246 crore, is nearly complete.
	
	Other significant projects include the 335-km Duvvada–Vijayawada and 173-km Secunderabad–Wadi expansions. These upgrades aim to ease congestion, support faster train services, and increase freight and passenger capacity, benefiting both the Eastern and Southern regions of India.
