SJVN has announced a capital expenditure plan of Rs 12,000 crore for FY 2025-26, with a target to generate 13,090 million units (MU) of electricity from its operational projects.
The company recently recorded its highest-ever annual generation of 10,647 MU, marking a significant milestone in its performance trajectory. In Q1 FY26 alone, SJVN generated 3,681.60 MU of energy.
The 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station led the surge with a quarterly output of 3,450.98 MU, a monthly peak of 1,222.17 MU, and a single-day high of 39.572 MU. Similarly, the 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station set its own generation records, while the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station exceeded its design energy, generating 316.40 MU in its debut year. SJVN's performance underscores its growing role in India's power sector.
