SNF Flopam India is setting up a synthetic organic chemicals unit with a capacity of 2,58,000 tpa at Gandhidham in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
The project will spread over 28.31 acre of land, entailing an investment of Rs 400 crore. It will generate employment for 125 persons.
The products include acrylamide with a capacity of 1,20,000 tpa, poly acrylamide powder with a capacity of 60,000 tpa and so on. The project was accorded terms of reference (ToR) in July 2017. In August 2019, SNF Flopam India received environment clearance (EC) following which work commenced.
As per information available with Projects Today, work on the project is underway with completion scheduled for March 2020. The commercial production is expected to commence by April 2020.
