Energy infrastructure and services company, SUN Mobility would launch commercial solutions for heavy-duty vehicles such as buses and trucks in the next 12 months. The solution is currently in development stage.
With a network of over 600 stations across 18 cities, the company is now actively looking to develop a station via the franchise model. For two-and three-wheelers, it has three assembly lines at two lakh batteries per year, and with automation, the capacity will be further enhanced.
Earlier, the company had partnered with Ashok Leyland for a pilot project, and is currently working on several others.
As it moves towards providing heavy-duty solutions, the firm also has plans to establish a new facility dedicated to the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) business.
