The eye care service provider Sankara Nethralaya has set up an eye hospital at Sri City Special Economic Zone in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.
The Sri City-Sankara Nethralaya Eye Hospital, spread over 10 acre is located at Tada in Nellore district of the state. The hospital initially having 20 beds will provide tele-ophthalmology and mobile refraction unit to the people living in this region, which will be later extended to a research facility. The facility aims to provide medical care at an affordable cost to the people of the region.
Sri City is a special economic zone, domestic tariff zone and a free trade warehousing zone, built in partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Sri City is home to over 80 industries from 24 countries.
