Sarovar Hotels and Resorts proposes to set up 19 hotels with a total
inventory of around 2,000 rooms across India in 2010.
This will include six new hotels in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR).
In the NCR, the company is to open new properties in Faridabad (Haryana), Hari
Nagar, Green Park and Shahdara (Delhi), and Vaishali (Uttar Pradesh).
The other properties are likely to come up in Bangalore, Hyderabad,
Chandigarh, Corbett National Park, Kochi, etc.
Of these, 17 are to be under the management contract system where investment
will be made by property owners, while Sarovar will manage the properties and
give brand name. Sarovar is expected to open two company-owned properties in
Chandigarh and Chennai.
